On Saturday Nov. 10, 2012, the Central Michigan Chipppewas soccer team took on the University of Michigan in round one play of the NCAA Tournament at the University of Michigan Soccer Complex in Ann Arbor. After scoring in the opening minutes of the game, the Chippewas held the Wolverines scoreless until the final minutes of regulation when Michigan tied the game at 1-1. The Chippewas lost to the Wolverines 2-1 in overtime.

CMU vs EMU Football November 10, 2012

The Central Michigan Chippewas took on the Eastern Michigan Eagles Saturday Nov. 10, 2012 at Rynearson Stadium in Ypsilanti Michigan. After falling behind early in the first quarter, the Chippewas rallied with held from freshman wide receiver Andrew Flory, to beat the Eagles 34-31.

Five Shades of Pink Fun Run 2012

The Five Shades of Pink Fun Run took place Saturday October 13, 2012 on the Central Michigan University Campus. The run was put on by students in class PS 320, Foundations of Sports Management, to raise money for the Angel Wings Fund. During the run, participants had pink powder made of cornstarch and food coloring, thrown on them at various checkpoints along the three mile route. The purpose of the event was to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

The Central Michigan baseball team took on the Ontario Blue Jays to open their fall season at Theunissen Stadium in Mount Pleasant. The Chippewas took a commanding lead early and never looked back. The Chippewas defeated the Blue Jays 14-3.
